Our wedding day
Ceremony
The wedding ceremony will be outdoors at Stanton Lookout, at 6pm, on the corner of Kirribilli Ave and Broughton St (see below for how to get there). If it rains, please go directly to Aqua Dining and the ceremony will be held there.
The reception will follow immediately at Aqua Dining, and is just a short walk across the park.
Reception
We are holding the reception at Aqua Dining. It has spectacular views of the harbour, including the Sydney Opera House, the city center, and, of course, the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It is one of Sydney’s best restaurants, and is very accessible by taxi, train, or ferry.
Aqua Dining (9964-9998) is located at the corner of Paul & Northcliff St, Milsons Point and is situated above the North Sydney Olympic Pool (where Jen used to swim each morning). It is between the Harbour Bridge and Luna Park (an amusement park modeled after Coney Island!), just minutes from Sydney CBD (Central Business District, i.e., city center).
The reception will follow the ceremony, from 6:30-11:30pm and will be “cocktail style”. We’ll have waiters bringing you lots of yummy food and alcohol throughout the night (don’t worry, you won’t go hungry).
Post Reception
We don’t have a plan yet for post-reception festivities, but for those that want to party on, we’ll set something up. Of course it is doubtful that Jen & Phil will make it past midnight (Jen is lame, and it will be a big day) but you never know…
How to get there
It’s easy to get there by either ferry, train or taxi. For those staying at The Vibe hotel, its a short walk down the hill towards the water.
By ferry
From Circular Quay, get the 5:20 Neutral Bay service to Kirribilli Wharf, you’ll arrive at 5:27 (Sydney Ferry information). For the more adventurous, you can also get your own water taxi.
By train
Get the North Shore line (yellow) or the Northern line (red) to Milson’s Point Station and then walk down the hill towards the water. (Timetable)
By taxi
Flag one down on the street, call 8332 8888 or 131 1451 and they’ll come and pick you up at your door. Direct your driver to Bradfield Park, Milson’s Point, or just say Luna Park and he’ll know where to go.
Driving
If you intend to drive, there is parking nearby at Luna Park. Enter via Paul St (see map).
