Questions and answers
As people actually ask us questions, we’ll update this page in a somewhat timely fashion.
When will you be in Sydney?
We’ll be arriving in Sydney on Monday, February 21th and then off to Melbourne from the 22nd to the 25th of February. We will be departing Australia on Thursday, March 10 to go on our honeymoon.
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
We’ve decided to spend a week on Virgin Gorda, at the Paradise Beach Resort, in the British Virgin Islands.
Do you have a registry?
For the Americans
We have registered at Crate and Barrel for kitchen goodies and Bloomingdales for linens. You may purchase online or at the store and all gifts will be delivered to us in New York.
For the Australians
We have registered at Amazon which will enable you to buy online and ship to our New York address.
If you would prefer to buy something from Crate and Barrel, you may fax your order to +1.630.527.1448. Be sure to include our registy number (#7599900), our names, the item numbers you would like, your payment information, your billing address, and your contact information so they can call you if they have questions. Alternatively, you may email at Crate & Barrel. If you give her your contact information and a time (probably quite early, Sydney-time), she will call you to walk you through the order. That will save you on long distance phone charges.
Lastly, if you don’t mind making the call, you may place your order by phone by calling +1.630.369.4464, between midnight and 2pm (Sydney-time), press 2. Be sure to have the same information described above for the fax order.
Should I rent a car while in Sydney?
For the most part, you don't need a car in Sydney. Public transportation is good—ferries, buses, trains, and taxis are plentiful. However, for day trips outside the city, definitely get a car.
Can you recommend a babysitting service for the wedding night?
We have never used this service (obviously), but the Vibe Hotel highly recommends Dial an Angel. If you’d like to share the service with other guests, let us know and we’ll help you organise it.
Are there really sharks near the Kirribilli Ferry Wharf?
No.
Who are these people?
Good question. We have no idea.
